Hi, I’m Alina.
Looking back, I think I struggled with digestive and skin issues my whole life. I tried all the diets and cleanses: detox, raw, vegan, vegetarian, anti-Candida, and on and on. Yet my symptoms continued, grew and got worse. I had eczema, acne and a growing list of allergies and food intolerances. It got to the point where every bite of food felt like broken glass moving through my body. Something had to change.
I went back to school, and got one of the only accredited Herbal Science degrees in the U.S. I continued on to get a master’s degree in Nutrition and Integrative Health. I applied what I learned to myself. I started to feel better.
Since 2016, I’ve helped countless individuals use plants, food and nutrients to improve their health and their lives. As an educator, I’ve led students on herb walks through the forest and taught them how to make medicine from plants from the garden, and now I teach them nutrition in a college classroom. I’ve come full circle (it’s still surreal when they call me “professor” ha ha), and I love helping others benefit from what I learned.
As a functional nutritionist, when speaking to clients in one-on-one nutrition and integrative health counseling sessions, my past struggles have made me empathetic to those who are suffering like I was. I want to scream “it is possible to feel better, and I can help you!” But I hold it in to be chill, I promise. Over the years, I’ve seen client after client feel and look better than they ever thought they could, and seeing it transform their lives like it did mine brings me so much happiness.
I have experienced firsthand the power of nutrition, plant medicine and integrative health in gut and skin healing, and I want to share what I’ve learned with you.
